Yemen's Houthis (Ansarallah) said on Sunday they had carried out three military operations using dozens of ballistic missiles against an airport and military facilities in Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the first operation targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the second targeted aircraft parking areas, ammunition depots, drone control centers and other facilities at King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait, while the third targeted a southern naval base belonging to Saudi border guards in Jizan.

Saree claimed the strikes hit their targets, killing and wounding Saudi soldiers and officers. The casualties could not be independently verified.

He also renewed warnings to international and regional airlines, aviation staff and passengers against using King Khalid International Airport, describing it as “unsafe.” The warning extended to Saudi airspace, excluding the skies over the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.

Earlier on Sunday, Saudi Civil Defense reported two injuries and damage to three residential buildings and seven vehicles from debris following the interception of two Houthi ballistic missiles in Khamis Mushait and Ahad Rafidah.

The Saudi-led coalition also announced the interception and destruction of 12 missiles and two drones launched by the Houthis toward the kingdom, including a ballistic missile aimed at Riyadh.

The latest developments come amid escalating Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia since July 2026, with missile and drone strikes targeting airports, oil facilities and military installations intensifying in October.

Saudi Arabia has led a military coalition supporting Yemen's internationally recognized government since March 2015 against the Houthis, who have controlled Sanaa and other parts of Yemen since September 2014.
