Shafaq News/ On Sunday, Lebanon’s Hezbollah reported clashes “at point-blank range” with Israeli army forces in a southern Lebanon village, confirming casualties among the Israeli troops.

Hezbollah stated that its fighters ambushed Israeli forces advancing on the eastern outskirts of Chamaa village, southern Lebanon, on Saturday. The ambush resulted in “point-blank” clashes with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades, causing “confirmed” casualties among Israeli forces. “The fighting is ongoing,” according to the Lebanese group.

This clash follows Hezbollah's execution of 26 operations against Israeli forces on Saturday. The operations reportedly included repelling Israeli attempts to advance at the border, targeting military sites, bases, gatherings, and settlements in northern and deep Israel, and intercepting Israeli drones and aircraft.

Among these operations, the party targeted five Israeli military bases in Haifa and its surrounding areas in northern Israel: the Haifa Technical Base, Haifa Naval Base, Stella Maris Base, Tire Carmel Base, and Nisher Base, a gas station used by the Israeli army.

While Israel typically downplays the scale of its losses, it confirmed the death of a soldier in southern Lebanon, bringing the total number of military casualties in clashes with Hezbollah since the ground offensive began on September 30 to 48, according to Israeli reports.

For its part, the Israeli military announced that Hezbollah launched around "80 projectiles" from Lebanon toward Israel on Saturday.

Additionally, the Israeli military reported that “a major rocket attack by Hezbollah damaged a synagogue in Haifa, injuring two people.” It also stated that about ten projectiles were fired at Haifa Bay, with some intercepted.

An Israeli Magen David Adom spokesperson stated that their teams in Haifa reported “no fatalities” from missile shrapnel, but five people were injured "minorly" while rushing to shelters.

While Hezbollah expanded its operations, Israel also has continued its aggression in Lebanon.

The Israeli military announced on Sunday that it had launched new airstrikes on the Southern Suburbs of Beirut (Dahyeh).

In southern Lebanon, the Ain al-Zarqa area was heavily shelled, while Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes west of Tayr Harfa, coinciding with artillery fire. The outskirts of Naqoura and Wadi Hamoul also faced artillery shelling.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the Israeli aggression killed 3452 and injured 14664 others, including women and children.
