Strikes hit areas in southern Lebanon

Israeli forces carried out airstrikes, artillery shelling, and demolition operations across several areas in southern Lebanon on Saturday evening.
Lebanese media outlets reported that Israeli warplanes launched two strikes on Al-Mansouri in the Tyre district and Srebbine in the Bint Jbeil district.
In the Nabatieh district, Israeli artillery heavily shelled the outskirts of Kfar Roummane’s Doha area, as well as the vicinity of Al-Dabsha and Ali Al-Taher hills, using phosphorus shells.
Shelling also hit the vicinity of Buyout Al-Sayyad and the outskirts of Majdal Zoun in the Sour district.
Demolitions were reported in at least six villages across southern Lebanon, including Hadatha, Beit Yahoun, and Aita Al-Jabal.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry put the toll from Israeli attacks since Oct. 8, 2023, at 8,915 people killed and 30,543 others wounded as of Aug. 21, including 4,348 killed and 12,307 injured since March 2.
