Israel hits car near school in southern Lebanon

Israel killed an alleged Hezbollah member in a drone strike on the Borj Rahal–Abbasiya road in southern Lebanon on Wednesday.
In a post on X, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee identified the target as Hussein Jaber Deeb, claiming he was involved in “terror activity,” and said about 20 Hezbollah fighters have been killed over the past month.

Lebanese media confirmed a strike on the same road that killed one person and injured another, sparking panic among nearby students.

A separate Israeli strike a day earlier hit a car in Nabatieh’s Kfar Djal–Shoukin area, wounding one person, according to local reports.
Despite a US-brokered ceasefire signed on November 27, 2024, Israeli forces remain south of the Litani River and continue airstrikes across southern and eastern Lebanon. According to Lebanese official data, about 300 people have been killed and more than 650 injured by Israeli attacks since the ceasefire.
