Iranian President to American people: We hold no hostility toward you
Shafaq News- Tehran
Iran does not hold hostility toward the US people, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on Wednesday, warning that attacks on Iranian infrastructure target the Iranian people and carry consequences beyond the country’s borders.
In an address to the American public, Pezeshkian said Iran has never initiated a war, but responded firmly and courageously to anyone who attacked it, adding that “portraying us as a threat is inconsistent with history and present realities.”
He described the US war on Iran as unjustified, stressing that despite all the pressure, “we have not weakened, but grown stronger in many areas, and what we are doing is a response based on the legitimate right of self-defense.”
Earlier, the US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran's president wants a ceasefire, describing him as “Iran’s New Regime President.”
In a post on Social Truth, Trump apparently referred to Masoud Pezeshkian, although there has been no regime change in Iran. He said about Pezeshkian, "much less Radicalized and far more intelligent than his predecessors, has just asked the United States of America for a CEASEFIRE!," adding that US will consider when Hormuz Strait is open, free, and clear, “Until then, we are blasting Iran into oblivion or, as they say, back to the Stone Ages!!!"
