Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Tuesday that it had shot down the 54th US MQ-9 drone over the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement carried by Iranian media, the IRGC attributed the early-morning interception to an “advanced air defense system” operated by its Aerospace Force under Iran’s integrated national air defense network.
The US military has not commented on the claim.
