Erdogan's first comment on the deployment of the Syrian army on the border
Shafaq News/ The Turkish President ,Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that it is likely that there would be no "problem" in Kobane region, in the light of Damascus agreement with Kurdish factions on the deployment of the Syrian army on the border with Turkey.
"There are a lot of rumors," Erdogan said at a news conference on Monday, commenting on the Syrian army's movement to the north of the country to counter the Turkish "spring of peace" operation , So far there seems to be no problem with Russia's positive policy in Ein al- Arab( Kobane)”.
He said "As for Manbij, we are in the process of implementing our decisions," adding "When Manbij city is liberated , the real owners will enter it."
Erdogan urged NATO countries to support Turkey, asking: "Are you going to stand with your NATO ally or the terrorists? Of course they cannot answer."
Yassin Aktay, the adviser of the Turkish president, did not rule out the possibility of an armed clash between his country's army and the Syrian army, which began moving towards the north on Sunday.
Syrian media confirmed on Monday that Syrian army units entered the cities of Manbij, Ain Arab and Tal Tamr town, in addition to a number of villages north of Aleppo, Hasaka and Raqqa governorates.
