Commander of U.S. Army Europe may have been exposed to coronavirus
Shafaq News/ The U.S. military announced that its commander in Europe, Lieutenant General Christopher Cavoli, and a number of U.S. personnel to a novel form of coronavirus during a recent conference.
The U.S. military said in a statement, that Cavoli and some American employees could have been infected with the virus while participating in a recent conference in Europe.
The statement pointed out that the commander of the US military in Europe is currently practicing "self-monitoring" and carrying out his operational tasks from a distance.
Meanwhile, a U.S. official told Reuters that the conference, during which Cavoli may have been infected, was held in the German city of Wiesbaden last week and took place with the participation of ground forces commanders in a number of countries.
The official pointed out that one of the participants in this conference confirmed his infection with Corona virus.
