Ahead of Nasrallah’s funeral, Israeli airstrikes target southern Lebanon

Shafaq News/ Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on southern Lebanon, attacking multiple locations, Lebanese media reported on Sunday.
According to the media, strikes targeted areas near Al-Qulaylah in the Nabatieh district. Additional raids were reported in Ansar, Jannata, Barish, and Maaroub in the Tyre district.
The extent of damage and casualties remains unclear.
The Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated on X that “the strikes targeted a site inside Lebanon containing rocket projectiles and combat equipment.”

Earlier on Saturday, the Israeli military announced carrying out an airstrike on the Syrian-Lebanese border.
The strikes come ahead of the anticipated funeral procession of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah at Kamil Shamon Sports City in Beirut, set to begin at 1:00 PM local time (11:00 AM GMT.)
