Security presence at Green Zone as detainees handed to PMF

Security forces deployed at Baghdad’s Green Zone entrances on Monday as authorities handed a PMF commander and several members to the PMF’s security department, while supporters prepared for a protest later in the day.
Earlier, a Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) commander and three other members detained, were transferred to the force's security directorate, a PMF spokesperson stated.
Muhannad al-Uqabi, director of the PMF's media directorate, said a “misunderstanding” surrounding the detention had been resolved.
The commander, Abu Jaafar, a member of the PMF's staff office, had been arrested at his home in an area of east Baghdad, along with three other members, according to a security source.
