Police arrest three convicted murderers in Iraq’s Diyala

Three men convicted of killing several people, including women, in Diyala province were arrested after four years on the run, a security source told Shafaq News on Sunday.
The Diyala Criminal Court issued rulings against the three on September 19, 2023, sentencing one to death and the other two to life imprisonment.
The attack took place in Al-Jayayla village, on February 20, when a group of gunmen attacked civilians at their farm near Al-Bu Bali village, killing and wounding 11 people. Security forces said the attack stemmed from longstanding tribal disputes.
