Iraq seizes 20 kg+ of Captagon during balloon smuggling attempt

Security forces seized 21 kilograms of captagon pills in the desert of Al-Muthanna after smugglers sent the shipment from Syria into Iraq using a balloon, a security source told Shafaq News on Friday.
Authorities transferred the confiscated drugs to a secure facility and opened an investigation to track down the networks involved in the smuggling operation.
Earlier this week, Iraqi border forces seized 154 kg of narcotics, including 893,000 pills, after intercepting aerial smuggling attempts along the western border in Al-Anbar.
