Shafaq News/ Unidentified drones struck multiple military sites across Iraq including radar systems at Camp Taji near Baghdad and Imam Ali Air Base in the south, a security source disclosed to Shafaq News on Tuesday.

Major General Saad Maan, head of Iraq’s Security Media Cell, confirmed that one drone hit an inactive air defense radar installation at Camp Taji, while another crashed near a power generator. No casualties were recorded.

A separate drone also targeted a radar system at Imam Ali Air Base in Dhi Qar province, destroying it entirely. According to Maan, the same radar had recently intercepted a locally made reconnaissance drone, prompting two others to retreat. A team from the Ministry of Defense reached the site within two hours to assess the damage and review the security situation.

The incidents appeared to form part of a broader wave of coordinated attacks on military facilities, including locations where US forces are present.

Recently, drones attempted to reach areas near Baghdad International Airport, while a separate rocket barrage struck Ain al-Asad Air Base in Al-Anbar province. Additional drone activity was also reported at Balad Air Base in Saladin province and again near Imam Ali Air Base in the south.

No group has claimed responsibility for the string of attacks.
