Houthi shelling killed two people and wounded 16 others in Taiz province, including three children and six women, the Interior Ministry of Yemen’s internationally recognized government said on Saturday.

Houthi-run Al-Masirah television reported Saudi missile fire on the main road linking Al-Yatmah and Al-Hazm in Al-Jawf province. The channel also reported three Saudi airstrikes on a telecommunications network in Al-Mahabisha, Hajjah province, four strikes on Sanaa International Airport and additional strikes on villages in Bani Hatab in Abs district.

More than a dozen ambulances rushed to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh after a loud blast was heard, while travelers were evacuated from parts of the facility, Reuters reported.

Flight-tracking website Flightradar24 showed flights bound for Riyadh had been diverted or cancelled, with only a helicopter seen over the airport at one point. Reuters did not immediately identify the cause of the blast.

Earlier on Saturday, Yemen’s Southern Giants Brigades said they repelled a Houthi attack on positions north of Dhubab Airport, claiming heavy personnel and equipment losses among Houthi forces without providing casualty figures.
