The Israeli military assessments indicate Hezbollah can continue launching rockets toward Israel at its current pace for an additional one to two months, Israel’s Army Radio reported on Friday, adding that the group still possesses an estimated stockpile of between 8,000 and 10,000 rockets.

Separately, in a statement, the Israeli military said it had killed around 1,000 Hezbollah members over the past month, including hundreds from the Radwan Force, the group’s elite unit, as well as several senior commanders, noting that it “struck more than 3,500 targets across Lebanon, including weapons depots, rocket launch platforms, and command and control centers.”

Since the start of the expanded conflict, Hezbollah has announced carrying out more than 1,000 operations targeting Israeli military positions and forces operating in southern Lebanon, alongside near-daily rocket fire aimed at Israeli bases from the north down to Tel Aviv and Ashkelon, using ballistic and precision-guided missiles.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stressed the military “will demolish homes used by Hezbollah in Lebanese border villages, as was done in Rafah and Khan Younis in Gaza,”vowing to extend control over areas south of the Litani River. He added that Israel’s objective in Lebanon is to dismantle Hezbollah’s weapons through both military and political means, “regardless of the Iranian issue.”

Katz also stated that around 600,000 displaced Lebanese residents "will not be allowed to return to southern Lebanon until the security of northern Israeli communities is ensured."
