Israeli Media: The Israeli Air Force launched a new strike in Tehran
Shafaq News/ The Israeli Air Force launched a new strike on Tehran, Israeli media reported on Friday.
Footage circulating on social media appeared to show Iranian air defenses engaging incoming Israeli aircraft over the capital, with anti-aircraft fire lighting up the night sky.
The strike came shortly after Iran launched a large-scale attack involving hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones aimed at Israel. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed the operation and identified it as Operation Truthful Promise 3.
Iran’s offensive was framed as a direct response to Operation Rising Lion, an Israeli campaign that targeted key military and nuclear sites across the country. Strikes hit locations in Natanz, Fordow, Tehran, Hamedan, and East Azerbaijan province.
Iranian media later confirmed that several senior IRGC commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians were killed during the Israeli offensive.
