Shafaq News/ Israel’s military reported on Tuesday that its air force intercepted rockets launched from Iran toward northern Israel, describing the incident as a violation of the ceasefire.

The Israeli army said air defense systems were activated as sirens blared across several northern areas, and the Home Front Command urged residents to take immediate shelter.

Palestinian media reported hearing two explosions east of Haifa following the launch.

Israeli media later confirmed that both rockets were intercepted, and emergency services reported no casualties except for one person injured while rushing to a shelter.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said he has instructed the Army to respond "forcefully to Iran’s violation of the ceasefire with intense strikes against regime targets in the heart of Tehran.”

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also vowed retaliation, declaring, “Tehran will tremble,” while the Israeli chief of staff warned that Israel will strike forcefully.

Iranian officials have not yet commented on the incident, However, the state television denied the reports, “There is no truth to claims that a missile was fired from Iranian territory toward the Zionist entity after the ceasefire.”

The latest development comes amid fragile calm following a US-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
