IRGC: Senior naval intelligence official killed in hostile attack

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed Friday the death of Brigadier General Behnam Rezaei, Deputy Head of its naval intelligence, in “a hostile attack.”

Last week, Israeli forces said Rezaei was targeted in the same strike that killed IRGC Navy Commander Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri and other officers. The IRGC statement confirmed that Rezaei was martyred alongside Tangsiri, without specifying the location of the attack or identifying those responsible.
