Shafaq News / A massive fire tore through a motorcycle factory in the Iranian city of Mashhad on Sunday, engulfing nearly 4,000 square meters of industrial space in flames, according to local officials.

The blaze broke out near the Electro Steel plant and quickly spread through a warehouse stocked with tires and cardboard—highly flammable materials that fueled the inferno. Iran’s Civil Defense labeled it a “large-scale incident,” with emergency crews battling to bring the situation under control.

“The fire is massive and visible from a distance,” the director of Mashhad’s Fire Department told state media. Several firefighting teams were dispatched to the site along Nabi al-Azam Road.

The incident follows a string of recent industrial accidents in Iran, including a fire in Qom just hours earlier and a deadly explosion last week at Shahid Rajaee Port in the southern city of Bandar Abbas.

No casualties have been reported so far in the Mashhad fire. The cause remains under investigation.
