Bomb blast kills one in Palmyra

A bomb killed one civilian and wounded two others on Monday near the district directorate in Palmyra, in the eastern countryside of Syria's Homs province, field sources told Shafaq News.
The device exploded after a woman collecting scrap metal came across it, the sources said.
The man killed was identified as Mohammed Nader al-Taha, 40. One of the wounded was identified as Ghassan al-Hajj Fahd, 32, while the identity of the second was not immediately known.
It was not immediately clear how the device came to be at the site.
