Sulaymaniyah bans fans from attending sport matches and suspends Friday prayers

Shafaq News / The local government in Sulaymaniyah governorate announced on Wednesday preventing fans from attending sporting events and matches and performance of Friday prayer ceremonies after recording a death by Corona virus at the governorate center.

The head of the local government, Haval Abu Bakr said in a joint press conference held today with the Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs and members of the Union of Islamic Religious Scholars in Sulaimaniyah, that regarding the championships, activities, events and sports matches, we draw the attention of everyone that the presence of fans has been banned with the continuation of those matches and events, calling "Everyone to abide by the issued instructions, that this decision will pass to another notice until the conditions return to normal.

He affirmed banning the establishment of Friday prayer ceremonies in all mosques in Sulaymaniyah.
