Kurdistan announces recording five new Covid-19 cases

Shafaq News / The Ministry of Health of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) reported on Wednesday that it has recorded five new cases of Covid-19.

"Due to the continuation of the tests and the search for suspects with Covid-19, five positive cases were diagnosed in Halabja governorate", the ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency.

The statement indicated that the five patients are two men, two women and one child, pointing out that three of them were in contact with previous patients, and the other two had the symptoms of the virus.

KRG Ministry of Health announced yesterday that one fatality was registered and 142 new active cases were diagnosed among 2273 suspected cases.

As it also announced that the total data of Covid-19 infections has risen to 1466, and deaths to 28 cases in Kurdistan.
