Health authorities recommend total lockdown in Kurdistan
Shafaq News / Erbil Health Directorate recommended on Tuesday re-imposing a total lockdown after a spike in the number of Covid -19 new infections in Kurdistan Region.
"We will have to use Erbil International Fair and other places for Corona patients after the cases number increased," Director of Erbil Health Department Dr. Delovan Muhammad said in a statement to reporters on the sidelines of his participation in the consultative meeting of the Minister of Health today in Erbil.”
"It is necessary to re-impose a complete curfew again, but the decision remains in the hands of the Supreme Governmental Committee to curb Corona virus, “he added.
On Tuesday, the Minister of Health of Kurdistan Region, Saman Al-Barzanji, held a consultative meeting with 30 doctors specializing in various fields.
A source told Shafaq News Agency that the meeting aims to study the current situation and how to face the second wave of Covis-19 outbreak in the region.
