Friday prayers suspended in Sulaymaniyah

Shafaq News / A source in the Union of Islamic Religious Scholars in Kurdistan Region said on Wednesday that the performance of prayers next Friday will be suspended, after recording the first death of a person infected with Corona virus.

The source told Shafaq News, that it was decided not to hold Friday prayers in mosques in Sulaymaniyah city as part of preventive measures to prevent the spread of Corona virus.

It is noteworthy that Sulaymaniyah recorded the first death of the new Corona virus this morning to an elderly man said to be an imam and preacher of a mosque.
