Erbil records 26 new Coronavirus infections

Shafaq News / 26 new cases of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) have been recorded on Sunday in Erbil Governorate, according to the Ministry of Health of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

“In continuation of the tests and searching those suspected of carrying the virus, 26 new cases were diagnosed in Erbil governorate, the ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency.

The statement pointed out that the new confirmed cases are 15 men, four women, three young girls, and four children, adding that 16 other cases were due to contact with previous patients, seven others showed symptoms of the disease and three others showed positive results (i.e. they are carriers of the virus) after being tested in Dekleh checkpoint .

The statement mentioned the geographical distribution of the confirmed cases as follows: Seven from the residents Erbil city, five from Khulaifan sub-district, four from Nowruz neighborhood, three from Kinsazan sub- district, one from Dartu neighborhood, one from Darshankra camp , another from Shamam village and another from Choman district.
