America urges Kurdistan not to rely on oil only in securing its revenues

Shafaq News/ The American Consul General in Erbil ,Stephen Fagin urged on Monday Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to diversify its economic sources and not rely on oil only in securing the public revenues.

"Depending on the private sector reduces government expenditures on the other hand, the government can also raise income levels," Fagin said in a speech during a conference under the slogan "stability and peace" held in the capital Erbil

He added that "America supports the efforts of KRG in the development of the economic sector as well as its efforts in the reform project," calling on KRG not to rely on oil as the only supporter for the economy.”
