The Kurdish PM congratulates the Union of Religious Scholars

Shafaq News / the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani congratulated Today, Monday, the Union of Religious Scholars on the fiftieth anniversary.

the congratulation letter, viewed by Shafaq News Agency, stated, “Dear Chairman and members of the Executive Office and the Central Council of the Union of Islamic Scholars in Kurdistan, it is my pleasure, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of the Union to express my congratulations to you and all religious scholars in Kurdistan."

Barzani pointed out that "historically, and during the Kurdish liberation movement, the role of Islamic scholars in Kurdistan was, and will still effective in defending national issues and promoting a culture of moderation and peaceful religious coexistence."

He added, "We hope that Islamic scholars will continue their march in fighting extremism, spreading the message of peace, promoting the values ​​of tolerance and defending the gains of Kurdistan. We also hope that they will continue educating the society and urge it to adhere to health guidelines and maintain its safety."

 On Sunday, the President of the Kurdistan Region also congratulated the Kurdistan Islamic Religious Scholars Union on its 50th anniversary.
