Prisoners in Erbil start a fire, demanding general amnesty

Shafaq News / A security source stated that a fire broke out in a prison in Erbil Governorate.

The source told Shafaq News agency, "prisoners set fire to their bedsheets," adding, "The prisoners are trying to force the government to issue a general amnesty after they declared a strike five days ago."

The source pointed out, "the situation has become under control after the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs visited the prison."
