Shafaq News/ A delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on Wednesday convened a meeting with representatives of the Change Movement (Gorran) at the former's headquarters in Pirmam, a joint statement said.
The meeting, according to the statement, encompassed discussions on "sensitive regional and national issues" that might affect both Iraq and the Kurdistan region.
The two delegations agreed to "mobilize all available resources and capabilities to safeguard the integrity of the Kurdistan region."
Both sides reiterated their commitment to formulating a national strategy for all political parties and entities to shoulder the responsibilities of the current phase.
In another aspect of the meeting, the participants underscored the importance of enhancing relations between the two parties. This was particularly in support of the steps taken by the Kurdistan Regional Government in collaboration with the federal government to secure constitutional and financial rights for the Kurdistan region, including public servants' salaries and improving the quality of life for the citizens of Kurdistan, as outlined in the statement.
