“The Iraqi judiciary refused to re-hold the first session of WasitCouncil,” A member of the Council, Haider al-Faili told “Shafaq News”.

Faili added that Wasit alliance is open to political entities to participate in the government administration and will not expel anyone.

Wasit provincial Council decided to elect the governor , his deputy and Chairman of the council and Vice President . And as a result, a member in the State of law coalition decided to refuse the legal lawsuit because it violated the constitutional provisions .

Wasit Provincial Council consists of 28 members as the winning lists on the membership of Wasit Council which are 9 that have collaborated after the announcement of the local elections results with the exception of State of law coalition, which formed a coalition of ( Wasit first coalition ) , which collected 21 out of 28 seats comprising the Council.

The new coalition has won on all legislative and executive positions of local government in Wasit except for the second deputy to the governor that was to Fadelah bloc within the State of law coalition, which is the only position of state of law in the current session , which prompted state of law to appeal the legitimacy of that government.
