More than 60 protesters killed and about 3000 injured in the second day of Iraqi demonstrations
Shafaq News/ The death toll among the demonstrators for the second day in a row has reached more than 60 killed and nearly 3000 wounded in the bloody protests in the capital Baghdad, security and medical sources said on Saturday.
Sources told Shafaq News that the death toll rose to an average of 63 killed: Baghdad (10) killed, Maysan province (14) killed, Dhi Qar (15) killed, Basra (7) killed, Muthanna one killed, Diwaniya province (12) killed, and Babylon province (4) killed.
The sources pointed to the high number of wounded retched (2592) among demonstrators and security forces as follows: Baghdad province (1794), Dhi Qar province (176), Wasit province (10), Muthanna province (151), Basra province (301), Diwaniyah Governorate (119), Maysan Governorate (110), andKarbala Governorate (349) wounded.
