Maliki's coalition: 147 MPs attended yesterday’s meeting, mostly from the National Alliance
The independent MP in the National Alliance, Sherwan al-Waeeli had announced during a press conference yesterday that 35 MPs of the National Alliance did not attend yesterday's session.
The Parliament failed to hold a plenary session to read a draft of the federal budget because of Motahedoun (United) bloc and Kurdistan Alliance boycott which postponed it until tomorrow, Tuesday.
A member of the Coalition , Ali al-Alaq told " Shafaq News ", that "The quorum of the yesterday’s meeting needed 15-member bloc to complete but Motahedoun bloc and Kurdistan Alliance boycott caused not holding the session ."
He added that " all the blocs of the National Alliance attended the meeting , while a small number of its members did not attend, not as rumored for the non-attendance of 35 MPs ."
