Shafaq News/ Kuwait's Deputy Foreign Minister, Khalid Al-Jarallah expressed his country's desire to start negotiations with Iraq to demarcate the maritime border completely between the two countries, denying at the same time adopting Khor Abdullah agreement in this framework.

Regarding Khor Abdullah's dispute with Iraq, Al-Jarallah assured reporters that Kuwait is seeking to demarcate the maritime border with Iraq after point No.(162). Describing the talk of Khor Abdullah agreement as a full demarcation agreement between the two countries as inaccurate.

Al-Jarallah said that Khor Abdullah was delineated in UN Security Council Resolution 833. As after point 162, then the process needs to be negotiated and discussed between the two sides to demarcate the border in accordance with the rules of international law.
