KDP: PUK asked for several days to submit its candidates

for the prime minister and parliament and did not rule out at the same time that the Ministry of Interior, led by President, Jalal Talabani would be assigned to it.

“Shafaq News " revealed earlier that the President’s son , Qubad Talabani is a strong candidate for the post of deputy head of the new government . Which has been confirmed by PUK through its Websites. But it has issued quickly a clarification denying the news.

The media official in KDP, Mahmoud Mohamed said in a news conference in Erbil, attended by " Shafaq News", that “ our meeting scheduled today with PUK has been postponed after Imad Ahmed told us that his party needs several days to resolve naming its candidates ."

Mohammed added that KDP is with the participation of all parties , including PUK in the new government in the region.

When the media official in KDP was asked about entrusting the possibility of the Ministry of Interior to PUK , he said that " everything is possible , all issues will be discussed."

As PUK insists to get the post of the Ministry of Interior , declaring that it is not against the agreement between KDP and Change movement on forming a new government for Kurdistan region . However, sources revealed that Ministry of Interior is a main condition for participation in the government.
