Iraqi and Lebanese Intelligence arrests a prominent blackmailer
Shafaq News / The Iraqi Intelligence Service announced on Monday, the arrest of a person who poses as a social activist with the name "Haida Al-Amiri" residing in Lebanon, indicating that he carried out blackmail operations against personalities and businessmen targeting the "political process" in Iraq.
"The Iraqi National Intelligence Service, in coordination with the Public Security Directorate in the Republic of Lebanon, has taken legal measures against the Iraqi person residing in Lebanon who runs a Twitter site by the name Haida al-Amiri” a statement, reported to Shafaq News said.
He added that “ the arrest took place after it was proven that he carried out racketeering operations against Iraqi political figures and businessmen targeting the political process in the country as his identity was revealed, as well as his residence, and taking the necessary legal measures in coordination with the Lebanese side."
"Haida Al Amiri" account is one of the most prominent social media accounts that deal with the political side in Iraq, and for years has tens of thousands of followers through Facebook and Twitter platforms
