Iraq announces 11 cases of corona virus infection

Shafaq News / The Ministry of Health and Environment announced on Thursday that it has recorded 11 cases of Corona virus in seven provinces, including the capital, Baghdad.

The ministry said in a statement today that its laboratories have conducted laboratory tests for 123 samples of suspected cases in hospitals in different governorates.

The statement clarified that the positive results (new infections) were 11 cases distributed as follows: three in Al-Rusafa, one in the medicine city, one in Najaf, one in Basra, one in Al-Diwaniyah, one in al-Muthanna, and one in Wasit, and two cases in Karbala.

The ministry did not record any deaths today, and said that the total number of infections are 177 in addition to Kurdistan Region.

The ministry indicated in its statement that the cases of recovery from the virus reached 49, while deaths were only 12 cases throughout the country.
