in a former Iraqi army camp near the judiciary center.

A civil rights activist , Hussain Al-Adani said in an interview with "Shafaq News", that "hundreds of people went on a peaceful demonstration in the center of Sinjar toward Sinjar camp (3 km south of Sinjar) to protest against  opening the headquarters of Dijla Operations Command in Sinjar."

He added that "the protesters do not belong to any political party and refuse opening this office in Sinjar, they also raised slogans demanding not to interfere with events in the Syrian side."

It is hoped that the official opening would take place on Wednesday, at Sinjar's Camp affiliated to the former Iraqi Army, marking the new headquarters of Dijla Operations Command.

Sinjar district borders Syrian border which is one of the areas included by Article 140 and disputed area between the governments of Baghdad and Erbil.
