Baghdad operations announces arresting dozens of terrorists
Shafaq News/ Baghdad Operations Commander Lt. Gen. Jalil al-Rubaie announced on Wednesday the success of the security plan implemented during the first ten days of Muharram month and Ashura visit.
Lieutenant General Al-Rubaie revealed at a press conference held today at Baghdad operations headquarters that 78 people were arrested on terrorism charges.
He pointed to the outbreak of clashes between security forces and an armed group west of the capital, which resulted in the death of one of the terrorists and the escape of others who left their weapons and equipment.
Lt. Gen. Al-Rubaie pointed out to the seizure of weapons, munitions and explosives, in addition to explosive devices.
