After his assignment, Allawi receives his first phone call from a head of state
Shafaq News / The Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi has received a phone call from Jordanian Prime Minister , Omar Al-Razzaz.
A statement issued by the Information Office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers stated that " Al-Razzaz congratulated the Prime Minister on the occasion of his assignment of the task of forming the new Iraqi government, wishing him success and renewed the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan's support for the stability of Iraq and the preservation of its security and sovereignty."
In turn, Allawi stressed the importance of upgrading the relations to serve the common interests of the Iraqi and Jordanian people, according to the statement.
The statement added that "during the call, a review of the latest political developments at the regional and international levels took place, and the need for coordination and joint action to confront the challenges facing the peoples of the region was emphasized."
