About 50 protesters the outcome of al-Khilani clashes in central Baghdad
Shafaq News / The Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights announced on Monday that about 50 protesters were casualties in the outcome of the clashes that erupted yesterday in al- Khilani Square in the center of the capital, Baghdad.
A member of the Commission for Human Rights, Fadel Al-Gharawi said in a statement today that ,Three protesters were killed and 44 other demonstrators were wounded in the clashes that took place in Al-Khilani Square yesterday.
On Sunday, activists and eyewitnesses reported the renewed clashes between protesters and security forces near Tahrir Square, in the center of the capital, Baghdad.
The capital, Baghdad, and the predominantly Shiite areas in the center and south of the country have been witnessing since early October of 2019 protests calling for the removal of the ruling political parties and forces accused by the demonstrators of corruption and association with external parties, as well as holding early elections.
