Targeting a Sadrist leader house in Basra
Shafaq News / a security source reported on Tuesday that unidentified persons threw a bomb on a Sadrist leader house in Basra, the southernmost city of Iraq, causing material damage.
The source told Shafaq News Agency, "Unidentified people threw a stun grenade at the house of a leader in the Sadrist movement in the center of Basrawithout resulted in casualties."
No further details were immediately available.
The Sadrist movement, led by Muqtada al-Sadr, who supports the Saairun Alliance, has 54 out of 329 seats in the Iraqi Parliament.
Al-Sadr enjoys a wide popularity among Shiites in the center and south of the country.
