Source denies claims that al-Sadr asked Salih to withdraw his candidature

Shafaq News / A reliable source in the Iraqi Presidency denied claims that the head of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, held a phone call with incumbent President Barham Salih, asking him to withdraw his Presidential candidature.
The source said in a statement distributed to media outlets that these claims are nothing but rumors.
