Security media: poor storage caused the explosion in Speicher Base

Shafaq News / On Friday, the Security Media Cell announced the cause of the explosion inside the "Speicher" military base in Saladin governorate.

The cell said in a statement today, that the explosion took place in an armory containing explosive devices of various kinds at the t Martyr Majid Al-Tamimi Air Base (Speicher).”

According to Saladin Operations Command, “the explosion was due to poor storage of these explosive materials.”

A security source in Saladin Governorate had reported earlier today that a building containing war remnants inside the Speicher base had collapsed as a result of a heavy explosion.
