Saladin Court sentences four terrorists for the capital penalty

Shafaq News/ The Saladin Criminal Court sentenced four terrorists to the capital penalty over ties to a car bomb attack near a gas station in Tikrit.

A press release by the Media Center of the Supreme Judicial Court said, "the operation targeted the Commander of Saladin regiments. It ended up killing a civilian and injuring the General along with 33 of his close protection operatives."

"The gang planted a false explosive device as a distraction, and the [actual] bomb was triggered when the security forces gathered around the car."

Saladin Criminal Court issued a death sentence against the culprit in accordance with the Articles 4/1 and 2/1,2,3 of the Counter-Terrorism law 13, year 2005.
