Shafaq News / "Global Finance" magazine revealed that Iraq ranked 110th in the world among the 191 poorest countries.

 

According to the 2020 statistics published by the magazine and viewed by Shafaq News Agency, that "Iraq ranked 110th in the world out of 191 listed and 11th among Arabs", indicating that "the GDP per capita in Iraq amounted to 18,025 dollars."

 

As for the classification of countries, it is as follows from the poorest: (according to GPD per capita)

 

·        Burundi:  727$  

·        Central African Republic:  823 $

·        Democratic Republic of the Congo: 849 $

 

 The least poor countries are:

·        Qatar: $ 132,886

·        Macau: $ 114,363.

 

In the Arab world, the countries are classified from the poorest:

Eritrea, Yemen, Sudan, Morocco, Libya, Jordan, Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, and Algeria.

 

It’s noteworthy that, To measure the poor or wealthy nation, GDP per capita is often considered the standard metric, by compensating for differences in living costs and rates of inflation the purchasing power parity (PPP) can better assess an individual’s buying power in a particular country.
