Shafaq News / A security source reported, on Monday, that the police chief of Babel, Major General Ali Hilal, contracted COVID-19.
Hilal assumed his duties on July 26, succeeding General Ali Hassan Mahdi al-Zughaibi.
The source told Shafaq News agency, "Hilal's health situation is currently stable".
On Saturday, a security source reported that Al-Anbar police chief, Hadi Razij, also contracted the virus.
It is noteworthy that many Iraqi military and security officials, in addition to political figures, were diagnosed with COVID-19, some of them passed away after losing the battle against the virus.
