Hundreds of contract employees demonstrate near Baghdad's Green Zone

Shafaq News/ Hundreds of contract employees at the electricity ministry on Tuesday organized a demonstration near Baghdad's ultra-secure Green Zone to demand enrollment in the government's permanent payroll.
The demonstration comes in conjunction with a cabinet meeting of Mohammad Shia al-sudani's government, Shafaq News Agency correspondent said.
The demonstrators warned they would step up their protest if the government fails to realize their demands.
