Explosion targets the Maintenance team of the Ministry of Electricity

Shafaq News/ A team affiliated with the Ministry of Electricity was targeted by an explosive device while on duty today, Saturday.

A statement of the Ministry said that a team of technicians and engineers was on a mission for re-installing detonated transmission towers on the Martyr Abdallah al-Qadimah line, north to Samarra-Dor (132KV) in Kirkuk, when they were hit by a blast from an explosive device near the villages of Zaqarta and al-Awadiyah in al-Rashad sub-district.

The Ministry said that the explosion damaged the vehicles and the crane deployed in erecting the towers, indicating that another bomb was found in the site exploded.
