Demonstrators handed an imprisonment sentence in Southern Iraq

Shafaq News/ Iraqi Judiciary sentenced a citizen to imprisonment for participating and organizing demonstrations in al-Muthanna, South of Iraq, earlier today, Sunday.

A source told Shafaq News Agency that the defendant was handed a four-month imprisonment sentence by al-Muthanna's Court of Appeal.

"The defendant was found guilty of 'confusing the public situation' pursuant to an arrest warrant against him," the source said.
