Barzani meets a delegation of Al-Hikma movement
Shafaq News / The President of Kurdistan, Nechirvan Barzani, and a delegation from the National Wisdom Movement (Al-Hikma) led by Ammar al-Hakim warned on Tuesday that the targeting the diplomatic missions affect the interest of Iraq.
A statement issued by the region's presidency stated that Barzani met today a delegation from the National Wisdom Movement headed by Sheikh Hamid Maaleh Al-Saadi.
The statement added that during the meeting, they discussed the latest political and security developments, early elections in Iraq, the Federal Supreme Court and the mechanism for selecting its new members, and the talks between Erbil - Baghdad.
The statement noted that the two sides agreed that the attacks targeting diplomatic missions put the country's interest at the stake, and that overcoming problems and crises needed joint action and coordination between the Iraqi parties.
Barzani stressed the readiness of Kurdistan to address all disputes with the federal government on the basis of the constitution, considering that solving the internal problems in Iraq is the "key" to the country's stability.
